Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes prohibited uses of the Tentaculos peer-to-peer live-streaming platform (the "Service") operated by Tentaculos LLC. It is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service. By using the Service you agree not to engage in, and not to allow others to engage in, the activities below.
1. Prohibited content
You may not broadcast, store, transmit or link to content that:
- is illegal, or promotes or facilitates illegal activity;
- infringes anyone's intellectual property or other rights, or that you lack the rights or licenses to stream (see our DMCA / Copyright Policy);
- is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or invades privacy;
- depicts or promotes child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — this is strictly prohibited and will be reported to authorities;
- contains malware, or is designed to harm, disrupt or gain unauthorized access to systems;
- is obscene where prohibited, or otherwise violates applicable law in the places you broadcast to.
2. Prohibited conduct
- Violating the security or integrity of the Service or any network or system.
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts, data or infrastructure.
- Interfering with, overloading, or abusing the peer-to-peer relay network — including manipulating peers, falsifying relay traffic, or degrading other participants' experience.
- Circumventing usage limits, billing, authentication or access controls.
- Reselling, sublicensing or providing the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted.
- Using the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications.
- Scraping, reverse-engineering, or building a competing service from the Service.
3. Fair use and capacity
You must use the Service in a way that does not place an unreasonable or disproportionate burden on our infrastructure or the peer network, and within the limits of your plan. We may apply technical limits to protect the Service and other customers.
4. Enforcement
Tentaculos is a neutral technology provider: we do not pre-screen or continuously monitor broadcasts, and we rely on reports and on violations that otherwise come to our attention. We may investigate suspected violations and may remove or disable content, throttle, suspend or terminate access, and cooperate with law enforcement. We may act immediately and without notice where we believe the Service, our users, or third parties are at risk, or where required by law.
5. Reporting abuse
To report a violation of this AUP, email [email protected] with enough detail for us to investigate (URLs, stream identifiers, timestamps and a description). Copyright complaints should follow our DMCA / Copyright Policy.
6. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date.
